Note in the Pocket
Clothing Children with Dignity and Love

About the Mission.
Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. Our model for getting clothes to the children strives to remove some of the stigma that goes along with needing help, by delivering the clothing to the referral agency. A child does not need to wear the same pair of pants over and over, nor be seen on the bus carrying home a bag of donations.
Our Involvement.
Wakefield UMC helps to provide stylish, good quality clothing items that help empower children to succeed in the academic environment. Wakefield UMC has an ongoing clothing and shoes collection throughout the year. In addition, we have scheduled volunteer days to sort clothing at the NITP center and three focused clothing drives to help meet NITP needs.

How to Participate.
Donations can be dropped off in the bin at the Missions Counter. A community donations bin is also located outside our main entrance for donations from our surrounding community at any time. For more information regarding scheduled volunteer days, please visit our events page.
Volunteers on the Note in the Pocket Donations Collection Team sign up to deliver donations to the Raleigh Note in the Pocket Center. Please contact the missions lead if you would like to be part of this team.
