Sign up to donate blood at Wakefield UMC’s next The Blood Connection blood drive!

Donors will be given $30 in rewards to be redeemed within 30 days. Wakefield UMC will receive $10 per donor for our church missions.

Each donation helps to save up to 3 lives, or 8 babies. The Blood Connection is the main provider of blood products for over 127 hospitals in North Carolina and the region, so it’s essential for our community to come out to donate regularly to support patients and our local blood supply. The average shelf life of a blood product is about six weeks, which means that when someone donates with us—that donation will be helping someone shortly thereafter.

Donors need to be at least 16 years old (16 & 17-year-olds need a permission slip which will be at the blood drive), weigh at least 110 pounds, bring their ID, and be in general good health.
