Wakefield Wednesdays Lenten Season!
Before beginning his public ministry, Jesus went into the wilderness to focus on God and God’s desire for him. During the season of Lent, we are invited to follow Jesus’ lead–to step back and focus on how we are showing up for God, ourselves, our families, our neighbors, and the world around us.
You are invited to join us this Lenten season as we take our own journey through the wilderness. Together we will reflect on who we are, who God is calling us to be, and how we can better show up and be present for those around us.
- We are offering three opportunities for self-reflection and growth on Wednesday Feb 21, March 6, & March 20.
- Nursery Care & Age Appropriate Activities will be available for children.
- Youth (6th-12th grade) may either participate in the sessions or volunteer to help with the children.
Wednesday March 20th – Leaving the Wilderness Behind
Italian Goulash (elbow noodles, ground beef, tomato sauce, cheese, & seasonings), Bread, Salad, & Dessert
Jesus didn’t stay in the wilderness forever. He prayed, learned, and then prepared to go out and begin His ministry. Together we will engage in interactive prayer stations that will help us learn various spiritual disciplines. We will prepare to start a new journey – one where we know ourselves better and are equipped and empowered to live into God’s calling on our lives. Children and youth are welcome and encouraged to participate in prayer stations with their families.
We’ll meet at 6:00pm for dinner, followed by learning and discussion from 6:30-7:30pm. Dinner is $7 a person, with a $25 max per family.
Dinner is $7 per person ($25 max for families of 4 and up).
