What We Believe.

Wakefield United Methodist Church is a United Methodist Faith Community. United Methodists share a common heritage with all Christians.

According to our foundational statement of beliefs in The Book of Discipline, we share the following basic affirmations in common with all Christian communities:

Our Mission

Inviting, Engaging, and Strengthening All in Your Journey With Christ.

We believe that we have answered a call to grow a church where people at any stage of their faith journey can experience a relevant, transformational and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Through worship that is both relevant and reverent, preaching that is rooted in the Word of God but also practical in how it speaks to real life, through joyous people that seek to love as God is Christ loves us and through seeking to develop our Earthly ministry by learning from mistakes and constantly asking God to use us to do more, the future of Wakefield United Methodist Church is rooted in the people of God seeking more and more to become the people, and thus the church, that God has called us to be.
